Planting Flowers

today we were landscaping. picked out TONS of flowers and plants, etc. then we (mostly me, brandon was pruning, sophia played with the water hose and bella slept) planted them in pots to stick upstairs and around the building. it really was a lot of fun just to spend some time outside!

tomorrow is day one of the diet brandon and i are starting. we were looking at a picture of the two of us from 4 years ago, and it looks like we ate those people. we both have the will-power but lack the motivation to start, but looks like we have finally gotten that motivation.

goal: by september 1st i want to lose 10 lbs, have washboard abs, and grow 6 inches.

This has been a great week, it really helped having the Monday Holiday, that makes the work week go sooo much faster.
This week brandon and Andre put up a fence at our place so now Gemma can run around outside all day and the girls can play out there too. We have a fire pit so we can hang outside this summer too, and very much looking forward to that!
I think the girls and i are headed to visit with my family tomorrow so that should be fun too. maybe hit up the pool if its warm enough!

i started this blog becuase:
Each day I watch as patients come in seeking answers as to how to fix the source of their pain. I think everyone can agree that medicines such as pain killers and muscle relaxers serve an important purpose, but are over-prescribed. sophia has really been enjoying this spring so far, and she has had some new playmates recently. alex and jank visiting from Thailand. its amusing to watch them all play together, let me tell you. SO CUTE!

she also has a shoe obsession!! thank goodness her shoe fetish is mostly for 2-3 dollar old navy or walmart flip-flops.

she also likes chap-stick.... A LOT (see below pic)

Memorial Day Weekend

we all enjoyed the three day weekend! we actually had a little time to relax, believe it or not!? it seems like we have not gotten to relax for the last two months, so this weekend was great. we got to take the girls to the park twice, we watched the UFC fights (matt hughes is the MAN) Saturday night, we drove around just sight-seeing and talked, and we even got to watch a movie together last night. :)

our weekend was topped off with what would have been a cookout, but because of the rain turned into a delicious pasta night at the casa de combs. it was fun.

right now i am watching Jon & Kate plus 8. jon is dead to me. used to like him better that her, but im a little over him right now.

im glad i ended up with a delightful, charming, adoring, sweet, handsome, caring husband, not a skeezy, lazy bum like Jon Gosselin! okay sorry, i shouldnt have started in on this subject... moving on.

its gonna be a great summer, i can tell. the winds of change are blowing. :)

american idol = unfair idol

obviously, we were all watching american idol tonight. kris allen is an amazing singer, but i dont really think he was half as good as adam lambert. i mean, yes i know every 14 year old girls wants to play tonsil hockey with him in their dreams, but come on!  oh well, my horse never wins in the american idol race. i was pulling for David Archuletta last year, if that tells you anything. i also voted for McCain, and that didnt turn out in my favor either.  they say every vote counts, but im starting to wonder...

the weather has been so nice, its been perfect weather to take the girls to the park. even bella loves to swing, its so cute.  im play with my ipod touch, the coolest gadget i own, i think! if anyone wants to see a picture of my girls, all i have to do it whip out my iPod which i have about 1100 pictures (not an exaggeration.)

las vegas

Status is: back from Las Vegas. the weather was insanely hot and sunny. it was beautiful. we saw a show (Mystere), took a gondola ride at the Venetian, and played some slots. we won a little, but in the end lost more than we won. but it was a great time, and overall, we didnt do too bad. so the vacation was a success :) now its time to get back into finishing cleaning the new place and spring cleaning at work.

also probably gearing up for a garage sale in the near future. **TONS of little girls stuff and mens sizes L and XL. **

Although Sophia is adamant that she will not go to pre-school. im still putting in applications so she can go in the fall. she is very happy with the "lightning" cup we got her from the Rainforest Cafe and some other little gizmo from a souvenier shop. Bella didnt get anything, but i gave her a few extra crackers and a bonus bottle of milk this afternoon, which she enjoyed better than a t-shirt or keychain.

bumble bee and ladybug

we spent several hours today at brandon's grandparents campsite.

it was fun, the girls had a blast playing with their older cousins.

the girls wore the outfits i got them in Thailand. Sophia was a Bumble Bee and Bella was a Ladybug, both complete with wings and antennae. :)

tomorrow we go to my parents house for more mothers day celebrating. this is a very important holiday for mommies, young and old.

Gemma went to the vet yesterday. she is huge, healthy, and the vet says has a great personality. :)

She is very sweet and we TOTALLY love her, but man oh man is she BIG. And she thinks she weighs about 3 1/2 lbs.

My Girls

Oh, my little Bella is so funny. She isnt truly happy unless she is eating or drinking. Today i gave her and Sophia both a sippy cup full of apple juice, and when i look over Bella is double-fisting! She would take a drink of hers, drink of her sister's.. like there was something better in the other one. And last night she stole the corndog right off sophia's plate and the next thing i know, the little crumb-grinder ate it all! she is one, i didnt even know she could eat a corndog. Anyway, she is adorable.

Sophia doesnt get off so easy either, i swear she is the orneriest little girl in the world, trapped in an angel's body!

I have had to start hiding my makeup because she takes my black eyeshadow and circles her eyes until she looks like a baby racoon. its cute, dont get me wrong. But its also very, very hard to get off. Get off of her, the rugs in the bathroom, the floor, the sink and everything else she touches while she is creating her masterpiece. Then she says "mommy dont i look so pretty?' of course i cant be mad.

Happy Mothers Day to my mom, all moms, and me! :)

I am working at the spa now, cramming in some quick writing in between appointments and such. I dont have much time to write, so here is the short of things:


- brandon is selling the Mustang GT, and just bought an old Jeep Wrangler w/ lift kit.
This is just something to beat up and not have much payment on. check out the Stanger on Craig's List

- 'M' is for Monday and Mopping at the Spa! Thats right, every Monday whether it needs it or not, I mop the floors (upstairs and down) at the Spa. Also i did all the Spa laundry AND our personal laundry yesterday and today... and BOTH are caught up. So, i feel like superwoman. Tomorrow when its piled down the hallway again i might feel differently.

- we love the new place, its big and open and the girls can make a huge mess with their toys, so they are in Heaven!

- Tonight we will be taking the horse on a walk if it doesnt rain. If we dont walk her she bounces off the walls, and thats no good with a 50 lb. puppy!

- Happy Birthday Hilary, i know your birthday is May 8th, so here is a shout out ;)
