We had a wonderful Easter weekend this year. Celebrating first at my in-laws on Saturday. We had a wonderful meal with family and a fun easter egg hunt for the kids.
Then on Easter Sunday we performed our own small Easter miracle by getting all of us ready in an hour and on time to Church. We were almost the last people there out of what must have been 500 people, but we MADE it! We wanted to be sure that the kids are reminded what Easter is really about, even though they had candy-minded brains that day. They can tell you, when asked, why we celebrate Easter Sunday.
Bella learned that Easter is the day 'Jesus comed alive again when they killed him'. Basically, she's GOT it!
Then after church we headed to my parents and enjoyed another wonderful meal (thanks mom!) and an easter egg for the kiddos.. and one for the adults. However, i may have to get a little more aggressive next year, i only ended up with 4 eggs.
The girls had fun playing with their little cousins, M & A. Its difficult to get a 5 year old, two 4-year olds, and 1 1/2 year old to all cooperate at once. :) But maybe its cuter this way...
